I would love to have a family connection to Wales! It's the only British isles national box I can't check off.
I can also check off Germany/Netherlands (through the SA connection) and France (maternal grandfather born in Acadia - Fra/Mik'maq)

My grandfather is 2nd or 3rd gen Canadian (Ireland potato famine).
My partner's mother and uncle are first gen Canadian. Both born in England with an Irish mother.

Gives you something to critically watch for, see if it passes the eye or if they vary tactics to opposition, etc.
I find myself much more engaged with the game when I watch it like that.

That category should be replaced with 'aggravation' instead
The idea that the process is inherently designed to reduce bans is nonsense and defeats the purpose of the whole thing

All of the "traditional" hallmarks of rugby, and require high levels of strength and power.

Why is it so hard to understand that the women's version of the sport is carving its own identity (partly) because of *some* of the physiological differences?
And why is this such a bad thing?

Women's rugby/sport being good in its own right, or different in one specific aspect (ie. this article) does not mean the men's version is bad.
Like... What are we doing here?

The idea that female athletes aren't strong & powerful is ridiculous and not true.
The idea that women's rugby is slow, unathletic, unskilled, is also ridiculous.
Who has the fastest ruck speed in world rugby? Canada women.

Which is partly a fair statement to make..
But this is followed by an insult to female props/players who are good at open play rugby because they're not strong/powerful/physical.

I think the opportunities for match ups you don't see regularly/might never see again are one of the most interesting parts of a RWC

He has great knowledge and vision for the game, brings a lot of clarity and simple principles and messages, and has fantastic delivery skills.
I expected him to be first choice!
