Every time I see a video of same-sex couples getting married in Thailand, I start tearing up. Every single time. I keep thinking that I remember what that feeling was like. I remember crying when I was finally allowed to marry my wife. I'm so happy for all of them 🥺💙

Having to worry about word count with traditional publishing is so not fun. Having to readjust timeliness in a trilogy is also not fun. Being a writer and fighting the hopelessness is the least fun of all.

I've set a goal for myself to start searching for a literary agent in February. Every person I talk to with experience and every new fact I learn about the process just makes my anxiety wooooorse. It's all so intimidating and a battle of determination.

My wife has been on an elimination diet for a month now, and I'm still struggling to make nice dinners when it's just for me. I food prep for her meals and then look around for what I'll eat and go, ehh, maybe I'll just eat that block of cheese in the fridge 🤷🏼♀️
