Can Hollywood stop being allergic to lighting their sets well enough for an audience to see. We're watching a movie, I do not care that the lighting is natural, I want to be able to see what's happening in a scene.

I generally feel the same way. The show is still great, but this clearly is a case of Netflix rushing the production to be finished within a 2nd season, because after season 2 significant pay increases (royalties too) start to kick in. We'll see these characters again in another "series" not season.
So Arcane was great, overall. It's left me feeling a bit bereft, missing the characters, like a great book does, which I find is rare with film and TV. Superb animation and design, voice acting and visual imagination, but the 2nd season felt rushed and overcrowded...
