The attack is truly appalling, but I just wanted to add that diesel, under normal circumstances, does not catch fire from an open flame.

people should be allowed to do whatever they want here.
why?

because this platform:
- doesn't amplify inflammatory comments with opaque algorithms
- lets users block people via lists (much more effective)
- is not controlled by a psychopath

and that all means that hate will die out on its own.

counterargument (kinda) : similar in shape to french fries, short pasta is good at holding sauces and toppings no?

i think the problem is that we need to normalize eating french fries with forks

maybe an unpopular opinion, but i don't think that the line "nobody elected elon musk" is going to stick in anyone's mind (except on those who already opposed trump to begin with)

if you want to convince people that elon musk is bad for the country, maybe giving solid arguments or data is better

i want to resurface one of the most offensive graphs i have ever seen:
(translation is in the alt text)
bsky.app/profile/cric...
a deliberately misleading graph, if I've ever seen one.

Why is the newest data to the left?

Why is the total to the left?

Who the hell thought yellow and purple are good colors for a bar graph?

64Gb of RAM? damn
you could even use it as a server

its just two different ways of expressing the same thing.

the thing is, you can get the architecture from the full codebase, but the other way around is more complicated (think of reverse engineering a program)

no.1 is practically impossible not because of stealing but because training data is often bought from third parties for a fee.

i think people watch streams mostly for reasons other than "wanting to see videogames being played", so idk.

there are very subtle differences between telling someone how to play a game, and maybe giving some advice (and of course, if the streamer specifically asks for advice or not)
January 20, 2025 at 10:37 AM
yeah i have to give that one to you; if you go to somebodys stream to tell then how to play (when the streamer is not asking for advice anyway), you are just being annoying.

but if you tell that to a speedrunner streamer, i think its more acceptable, so it depends on the case.
January 20, 2025 at 10:34 AM
but you have to agree that optimal play does exist, and some people are a certain kind of perfectionist regarding videogames.
