I rode powder all yesterday and was too tired to finish the day. Today, I fueled properly and feel great after an even harder session. In cricket, if you don’t hydrate and fuel right, your technique is the first thing to go. Stop "pushing through" and start fueling. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

How do you get fit for cricket? 🏏

Get volume into your legs. Gym work and nets are the basics, but everyone forgets that cricket is a 100-over game. Whether you're hiking, biking, or snowboarding, you need miles in your system to last the whole day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This is one of my favorite drills for cricketers dealing with back pain.

The Overhead Band March is all about core control and staying stable on one leg. If the core fails, the lower back takes over—and that’s exactly what we want to avoid for our fast bowlers.

Technique is an output of the body. If your body can’t get into the "proper" position, you change the position, not the body.

Andy (60+) moved to a bat-on-ground stance for better stability and contact. Simple but better. 🏏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Be humble in the nets. 🏏 "Speed hides need."

If your technique is falling apart, slow it down with tennis ball drills to groove that brain-body connection. If you don't own it at 10mph, you won't own it at 80mph.

Most cricketers treat their energy as one big tank. They don't understand that the body has different "zones"—from the explosive ATP-PC system used for fast bowling to the aerobic system used for recovery between balls.
