Of course, there are vices in the peer review process, but those should be studied by the AC and SAC. If a review is suspicious or its clearly not in line with academic standards, it should be ommitted from analyses. That's why we are AC and SAC. Removing anonymity is not the way.

OpenReview should be extremely transparent and show what conferences and papers were accessed, and the peer review of those papers should be conducted again. However impractical, protecting peer review is paramount.

You can think whatever you want of capitalism and its extractive role, but one undeniable thing is its capacity to make wars between great powers inefficient. It's cheaper to trade, and it makes everyone more prosperous.
