Is it possible to appreciate her 80s/90s work and efforts to diversify Star Wars, while still finding her incompetent for having a long list of announced and then canceled projects—7 years between SW films? She also caved to those dorks by putting a freeze on Johnson’s trilogy, that’s cowardice.

Saw this over the weekend with the screenwriter and one of the producers speaking afterwards. Great guys, great story. A lot of fun.

I watched this on New Year’s Eve as it was leaving Criterion Ch and but I found it really enjoyable in an old fashioned way. Worth noting that William Goldman and Ivan Reitman were first involved but Chase wanted something more serious and less quippy so he moved on from them and hired Carpenter
