When this Rail Spliter was born in Tx 1922 the Texas border in 1845 moved south. He and fam never crossed the border; the border crossed them. My Mex-American father’s first and only flag was red white n blue. 🇺🇸 Most are no more, only their faithfulness to the flag…we now pick up n carry forward.

As validly ordained RC priest I do believe in these words. Not meant to be taken literally. It is hyperbolic language to signify how serious he was about this issue. People who place trumps ideology over that of His will have to account for it someday.
