My oldest DVDs from 2004 all work. Except „Sieben/Seven“ because Warner Brothers pressed cheap discs since the 2000s, worldwide.
Even the used Videothek version of Running Scared still plays! Haven’t done it, but DVDs can be ripped to PC easier than BR.

I bought an external DVD drive with USB c for 40€. It just works on the Steam Deck Desktop.

You may laugh, but Weeze (Germany). We went to to Scotland and it was pleasant. I can see the gate from check in, turn my head and there are the restrooms. Tiny well kept airports rule ✈️
