Saw two tourists asking the metro security for directions in English, no luck. Went over to help, voilà, they’re French. That very stop has 18 exits, only 😏. Opened google map, directed them how to get to their hotel, and even had “traversez” corrected. Lucky my grammar was impecc! 🤓

It was 25° yesterday and now the meteo says it feels like 0°. Went down to take the bin out and it felt like walking straight into a fridge. 🥶 But quite the perfect temperature for marrons rôtis and vin chaud already.

Getting to that age where friends’ newly graduated kids come to me for career advice. Truth is, I only ever planned to do a PhD, stay in academia, then somehow ended up in government… and now the private sector. Funny how life never turns out as planned. (Also, thanks for not calling me Auntie 🙃
