A quick reminder that this King County respiratory disease data comes from Washington State, not the federal government.

So ... the […]

Today, we passed places where the Labor Mountain fire jumped highway 97 and headed toward Mission Ridge this autumn. This picture was taken near the Scotty Creek outlet. There was a bigger jump about five minutes south.

I went back and re-processed my Milky Way/Mount Rainier image from this summer. Because with the #astrophotography hobby, you are never ever done. 😄

This summer’s version was a single exposure. For this newer version, I used Siril’s manual registration […]

I know this isn’t the most impressive image, but I am blown away that I can get an image of any quality of the third known interstellar object to visit our system that is 200 million kilometers away from us WITH MY LOW PRICED MASS MARKET SMART TELESCOPE. #3i #seestar #astrophotography

The last of the three King County sites is King County South (KCS) treatment plant, and its Sars-CoV-2 7DRA numbers are also nice and low. The last 7DRA calculation was made on 11/12.

The Brightwater sewage treatment plant (BWT) in Woodinville is also nice and low. The last 7DRA calculation was made on 11/12.

I was researching something on DuckDuckGo today, and their AI search assistant thingee popped up with … word for word something I had written on the topic. (Yes, it does cite sources and I was listed as the primary source.)

Anyway, that was strange.

The last of the three King County sites is King County South (KCS) treatment plant, and its Sars-CoV-2 7DRA numbers are quite low. In fact, this is the lowest reading recorded for this site since data providers were switched in fall of 2024. 😍🎉 🥳

The last 7DRA calculation was made on 11/3

The Brightwater sewage treatment plant (BWT) in Woodinville crept up a bit. The last 7DRA calculation was made on 11/3.

It being November in Seattle, the #aurora was shall we say muted. But there were little breaks in the clouds that were portholes into the light show going on over our heads.

I got a chance to process my images of Comet/2025 A6 (Lemmon) from last Saturday. I'm reasonably pleased with how it turned out, given the less than ideal circumstances: this was shot in a, like, Bortle 10**24 zone with lots of moonlight and constant […]

I bought a fancy doohickey for my camera last night, and if you're wondering what the current state of the US logistics ecosystem is ... well ...

I imaged C/2025 A4 (Lemmon) again last Wednesday from Blewett Pass, Washington. I shot this with a Canon R8 and a 363mm lens, and it's a stack of fifty 10-second exposures.

I have never tried stacking comet images before, and this, my friends, proved to be […]

The last of the three King County sites is King County South (KCS) treatment plant, and its Sars-CoV-2 7DRA numbers are (a) a big improvement, but (b) pretty old. The last sample date was 10/8.
