#9: Twin Peaks (season 1)
Adding to the David Lynch (RIP) posts, I wasn't sure how to word this one, so I'll keep it simple.
I've never watched a David Lynch creation and thought "I could do that". His voice and vision were beyond unique and continue to freak me out.

Training sick can impact a lot of people's lives.
Take a rest day(s). The mats will still be there.
NO ONE is impressed by seeing sick, snotty, coughing people rolling
Thank you

#8: Resolution (2012)
I'm a sucker for anything @justinhbenson.bsky.social and @aaronmoorhead.bsky.social turn out, but this is my favorite. The relationship between Michael and Chris are two of the best I've ever seen on screen. Tense, bleak, and suspenseful
I love it so much!

#7: Censor (2021)
I just don't see enough people talk about this one. The pacing, atmosphere, no hand-holding, Video Nasties, and that ending...I love the ending so much.
I have seen anything by the writer/director since, and it makes me sad. I can't wait to see what's next

#6: Salem's Lot (1975, novel)
As much as anything, it's how King nails small-town life (the suspicion, gossip, etc) that I adore
Horror always hits me harder when the people and places feel authentic. Characters that you feel like you've met elevates any story. Not caricatures

#5: The Vigil (2019)
One of my favorite movies in recent memory. No hand holding, love the use of Orthodox Judaism, gorgeous cinematography, sustained tension and "wait, what did I just see?" moments. This is absolutely my wheelhouse.

#4: @thenosleeppodcast.bsky.social
Still the gold standard in horror audio. This podcast got me through some really hard times and was there when horror changed from entertainment to catharsis to a career.
I STILL listen to Butcherface any time I go to the airport to relax.

#3: Yellowjackets.
From a storytelling perspective this is the greatest thing since Lost premiered.
Brilliant writing, pacing, reveals, lack of exposition. This could go down as one of the all-time great series by the end.

#2: Deadstream (2022)
I won't only post found footage, but this has to be up there. I love horror/comedy and Vanessa & Joseph Winter (star) perfectly combine the cringe of YT content creators with a fun and surprisingly tense piece of pure entertainment.

#1: Hell House, LLC.
Not my all-time favorite horror, but the one I've watched the most. Simple found footage done well. A haunted haunted house. No over explained. Just fun.
