We had flurries in Des Moines this morning. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃.

When was a kid my family use to harvest wild bittersweet. We'd bundle it or weave it into wreaths. We'd sell it to local florists. I'm grateful for the extra money it provided our family during those times. There was always plenty in the timber if harvested responsibly.

It kind if does look like bad scrambled eggs. I thought it was a rotten hedgeball off an osage orange tree. Neat specimen.

I put in 200 tulip, daffodil, and crocus bulbs. I'm set to have a beautiful spring. I'm really looking forward to the parrot tulips especially.
