Not painful at all, surprisingly! No numbing needed (even after being out of pain meds), it just feels weird as hell. Could vary by practice, but for me they just snipped off the stitches and pulled them out. Sounds scary, but I promise, compared to having the drains in, it felt fantastic!

I’m a worrywart too! It loosened the stabilizing stitches a little and I thought that meant it wasn’t in place anymore, so I panicked 😂
Thankfully, it’s much harder than I thought to mess it up, and there were no issues other than extra discomfort around the stitches. You’re probably good!

Just shivered remembering how bad that feels! I think it was in my first week of recovery that one of my drain tubes got caught on the lever to recline the passenger seat in our car. Got a horrible yank that thankfully didn’t pull the drain out, but certainly hurt! 😭

It’s so hard to describe him/his situation in a short amount of text, but I love talking about him and answering questions + I’m working on writing to post on ao3 for those who want to get to know him better ☺️
Also of note; he’s an Oracle in Pathfinder terms, but any healer type for other settings

My account is 18+, but I ❤️ him & giving him religious trauma. The aasimar traits are recessive and appear sometimes in his family, along with the disability he has. He struggles with performing as who he’s expected to be while trying to figure out what makes him happy

Yea, I’ve been super surprised by that, even though I haven’t played it myself. I just could’ve sworn it was being advertised as a queer-friendly game, and I heard a lot of enthusiasm for it from other queer folk. I wanted to wait to hear more about it before playing, but I’ve just been disappointed

Yeah, it is nice seeing that other artists feel the same way and knowing you’re not alone. I think it’s helpful being in the disabled artists sphere especially and seeing that it’s not the end of the world to struggle, because sometimes it really feels that way 😅

I can relate, drawing every day sounds like a dream. It can be so disappointing and demotivating to feel like you’re not doing as much as you want. I compare myself to others a lot, even though I know it’s not good for me (and that my success is going to look very different from others’ success)
