It’s not a setting issue. It’s an app glitch with Prime Video. Check out the difference between my friends screen at 100% brightness & mine at 60% for the same scene in 3x5. Sarah Nakamura is going to report the issue to Prime for us.

It’s a glitch on some of the Prime apps! My Apple apps all show the night scenes plenty visible, but a lot of people are having your problem with some of the night scenes. The left is my friends screen at 100% brightness during the same scene as mine on the right at 60%. I told Sarah Nakamura &

I typed it out in the Alt Text bc w the medical abbreviations. Take this w a grain of salt, bc sometimes the prop departments just come up w random stuff for these things, which feels like the case for the diary entry. It also doesn’t list the meds that Han was using for the hypnotherapy. Also, the

He submits to the treatment nicely within a five minute interval of interception from my pendulum. He has been showing more and more fatigue in the eyes when the sessions begin. These are the guidelines for each individual nomination submission, so AMC definitely gave equal consideration to each actor they’ve submitted. While their commercial marketing department needs a lot of work, this snub simply is not something that can be blamed on AMC.

Cannibalism in Hannibal is used as a metaphor for domination or power, sure. But not love. He didn't love the people he ate. It was kind of like... the complete opposite actually. "Mischa!!" I hear you cry. He didn't eat Mischa because he loved her. He ate Mischa because he had no choice or agency. That's why he eats others. To regain the power he lost in that moment.

Don’t think about how Han’s tears didn’t start to fall until after he’d killed Abigail & still couldn’t walk away from Will w/o offering some form of comfort. He’d punished Will & himself in the WORST POSSIBLE WAY & it STILL didn’t break their bond. Even then he couldn’t bring himself to kill Will!

A little peek of Chapter 2 of Every Day, Forever
"Take that fucking ring off your finger unless you want to lose the entire hand." Most of the venom was gone from Will's voice, but the truth of his pain was already out there. The wound was raw, and there was still a snarling beast prowling in his chest, clawing for freedom every time he caught sight of the sun glinting off the infernal band of metal around Hannibal's left ring finger. The damnable trinket taunted him with the reality of Hannibal replacing him. Will turned away to look out the passenger window, not wanting the doctor to continue reading the conflicting emotions warring for dominance within him.

#Hannibal always had such beautiful visual storytelling! Hannibal is in the light, out of his person suit, openly his true self after decades of hiding. Will is in darkness, still hiding, but Hannibal’s light bleeds into him as they mirror each other, just as Will’s true self begins to bleed out!

I love the reversal of typical Light v. Darkness visual storytelling. Instead of Will in the light as he’s clinging to societal norms & “decency” & Hannibal in the dark as the “monster,” in this world, light represents freedom & acceptance whereas darkness represents repression & denial.

He supposes in a layman's terms one might call it love, what they have between them. But this abominable tether that binds them together, that drags them back to each other time and time again, it is not the way other people love. It isn't beautiful or tragic or driven by anything as facile as mere desire. Hannibal and Will want each other in the way that flesh wants to knit itself together over an open wound.
