Game Show fun fact....
Anthony Pratt and his wife in England created the game Clue in 1944, as a way to pass the time during air raid drills during WWII.

Years ago I worked with Coach Ben on an activity for young Ss to learn Chromebook skills called “Chromie the Chromebook” & now I have Mr. Potato Head.
Ss can learn copying & pasting plus skills such as resizing, rotating, flipping & color correction #edusky #edtech

Its been a hot minute since @bribriggs.bsky.social and I have podcasted. We even missed out 10 year anniversary :(
I feel that today's NYTimes Connections game is trying to tell me something... #edtech #edusky #podcastEDU

Thanks Wes! Yes, I have "tried" a little coding for making my newest game "Spot It". The python code takes 57 images and populates them into a PowerPoint of 8 images per slide for 57 slides. It was a bit over my head and needed some help from Computer Science students :)

Well, that's it...another year in for the books with 24 of them here in Rocklin. Nothing like the time machine of past staff IDs to make you feel old. But still looking to what the next school year will bring

Jeopardy fun fact... Not sure if you've ever hit writer's block when writing questions for a quiz or text, but the Jeopardy writers have to come up with early 14,000 clues each season #gameshows #edusky #edtech

For my end of the year review, I played one of my newer games "Battleship". It was an absolute blast! Very different from traditional Kahoot or Jeopardy style game.
Here's my tutorial www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ1a...
if you interested in the template, shoot me a DM for the link

Looking for a fun game for your students with
NO EDUCATIONAL PRIOR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED?
Well, try my Candy Quiz!
I put them in teams of 2-3 and see which ones can guess 'em all. Even allow them to cheat/trade with other teams.

Anyone use the "Which One Doesn't Belong" challenges? I did a few years ago as fun mini warm up games for my agendas. But noticed the site wodb.ca doesn't work anymore. I've found quite a few other sites that focus on math looking for other non-math examples. #edusky #edtech

Here are three random name pickers for next time you need this for a game or other lesson. Wheel of Names seems to be the most popular but I like Lucky Draw, as it has the least number of ads #edusky

A little look into the Game Show Guy's DNA. Here is my mother back in 1975 spinning the wheel on Wheel of Fortune. She didn't win the big money, but a year supply of chocolate bon bons and new orange linoleum flooring for the house was a pretty sweet victory for the 70's #edusky
