I once spent weeks reading trans magazines from the 60s-90s on Digital Transgender Archive. Decades of debating the transvestite vs transsexual divide followed by a campaign to use transgender makes very clear that Trans is a dozen overlapping groups in a trenchcoat and that's OK, that's the point.

I once spent weeks reading trans magazines from the 60s-90s on Digital Transgender Archive. Decades of debating the transvestite vs transsexual divide followed by a campaign to use transgender makes very clear that Trans is a dozen overlapping groups in a trenchcoat and that's OK, that's the point.
Blue states have large cities with established communities of queers emigrating from surrounding areas. Decades of community organizing and mutual care in a better social environment makes blue cities better, not the scant laws fron politicians.

Because these state level civil rights aren't very helpful. Proving discrimination is hard and expensive, cops are still bigots and we're still way poorer than the cis. Medicaid coverage or ID updates are good but rhetoric from politicans isn't.

A lot of the "science" influencers are fad or bait mongerers that fire off wild opinions as "science" based on poorly interpreted data. Holistic and evidence based self coaching is difficult and requires observing your own training is waaaay harder.

The funny thing is that eccentric vs concentric training were alternating fads in the 90s, now revived with a patina of "science" as marketing strategy. But controversy and telling newbs they're training wrong always sells, especially when newbs don't realize these fads are cyclical.

Take the obsession with working a muscle through a stretch. That's become gospel based on shockingly few studies and newer research is showing that the increase in hypertrophy in eccentric training is far more minor than previously believed.

dr mike does a great job at explaining and breaking down the non-controversial fitness and programming basics. His main issue, like most fitness influencers, is focusing on one or two factors of hypertrophy to the detriment of all else.

i'm on a winter bulk and feeling insecure about weight (oh no, evil number!) despite being only 20% bf. I saw this vid yesterday and it was a great jolt to tell the brain worms to shut up and instead focus on the newfound cushiony softness whenever I sit down.

I used to assume that all NS fans were teenagers due to the willful refusal to accurately understand the argument due to an imagined emotional hurt but now I understand that it's even worse, they're millennials who refuse to socially transition as their 40s get closer and closer.

this is pure anecdote but my brother's in a d&d group with DoD contractors who rip cigarettes and bitch endlessly about the "Trump madness." They keep emphasizing the massive inefficiencies and stupidity of ctrl+f deleting whole swathes of their work because it has "transition" in it

i've decided that I'm gonna switch to enthanate soon and up my dose slightly until then. I consistently feel depressed the day before my shot, which is a bad sign imo. I'm trying to embrace listening to my body over dubious guidelines.

I feel that most red/brown people are motivated primarily by resentment against liberals in their personal lives and failures of left/liberal alliances so will continue building an entirely reactionary socialism. Their politics are downstream of their psychology.
