The reference from Turek was to show the number and the distinction between theism and atheism. Even if Turek as an authority is an issue, the core argument remains--why do we see such a disparity in deaths over comparable time periods?

This is just like building a healthy friend group.

You should make friends who have a desire for your best interest, just like you have for them. You should care for them.

But this is only possible if you understand their character as you grow closer with them.
