To be honest, I can't attribute such comments to a particular source but I have the impression that corporate media has made statements to that effect, and possibly others who are trying to create the impression or suggest that there are war crimes and murders that are defensible.

It's also unnecessary to say "illegal war crime" or "illegal murder" as there are no "lawful" variants of either.

Seriously? WTF with this reporter. She asks the question, gets a thoughtful answer, and then quickly summarizes it "as concern about buying favors" and moves on. That's a legit and serious concern here that should be allowed to sink in, not simply check a box during an interview.
