Great story about Mexican culture, Mariachi culture, queer identity/pride and grief/loss.

This book gave me a lot of feels!

Rey’s trans identity is done beautifully and I was so proud of him!

This was a well done book. Don’t let the 3 stars deter you.
It just annoyed me that the main character became a damsel the moment she met the main male character.
Also not a fan of pregnancy tropes.

But well done on the crime/mystery aspect!

This book was eh. Straightforward fake dating scenario romance. Great spice scenes!

I felt his cinnamon roll qualities were a bit too heavily pushed onto the reader.

A fun lighthearted read overall.
