This means that something as simple as a friend of a neighbor saying they heard them talk about the charged individual committing a crime can be enough for a grand jury to find probable cause. They're a rubber stamp. 3/?

The evidence used in Grand Juries can span from simple hearsay to inadmissible evidence, and the one being charged has no recourse against what is said. They're a rubber stamp and only need to meet the burden of probable cause for a crime. 2/?

Grand Jury transcripts are among the hardest unseal requests to approve. Judges almost never unseal these transcripts because the Grand Jury is meant to be a private affair. It's how you obtain charges to press upon individuals. 1/?

Route 2:

The first appropriations act is now married with a binding request for confidential information, which, assumedly, will be made public by congress once recieved. This bill is needed to fund the government. Either gop guts the ammendment with another one or they pass it
