I had similar situation twice with my dad, you always feel like 'maybe you could do more, do better' *hugs tight* I am sure you did all you could, it is not your fault tho and you did not fail. Sadly at times, in situations like that even most skilled doctors can not do much. Don't blame yourself!

I often had the similar feelings myself, but decided to keep the good memories and option to share them from time to time with my friends and this who I love - you can get some good moneys for the fursuit this days, but it can feel weird later when you see him around and it's not you too..

I am pretty sure it's not, that you are the only one who feels this way way to often - I would say that answer to it is to concentrate on smaller amount of friends who make you feel nice and share this special moments with them - it did help in my way in similar situation *hugs cute shep*
