The Waves L1 is so good on a lot of surprising things. It makes it easy to come back to. I haven’t gotten to mix a lot, but I really liked a couple freeware 1A and 2A style compressors (which I have long since forgotten the names) after Waves nuked my license when I lost my key.

The L1 and L3 I used so much for multi band maxing on studio mixes, I used it live a couple times on a bus, and the C6 for multi band comp. Those sort of utilized the exaggerated nature really well.
I still prefer my izotope 4? Maybe 5? in studio, but when I was mixing live that wasn’t an option.

I feel like this effect is always discounted by people.
Like there will always be weird people who want to make people uncomfortable at pride.
But genuine participation in pride events regardless of who the people are is good.
Obviously there’s the discount of pink washing.

You’ve convinced me a bit more to put down my belief about “bothering the person working” like literally they’re there to help. If I’m working with them and not being a jerk, that’s a good experience on both ends.
