I like the classics: hardcover books, fountain pens, vinyl records, mechanical watches, Wayfarer sunglasses, Levis button-fly 501s, and Converse All-Stars.
Leaving, I hate to see you cry
Grieving, I hate to say good-bye
Dust and ash forever, yeah
Though I know we must be parted
As sure as stars are in the sky
I'm gonna see when it comes to glory

And I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side
Yes, I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side

Up until his death, Ozzy Osbourne’s goal was to ascend a stage one last time and thrill his fans.

When the subject of retirement came up in a 2020 Rolling Stone interview, Osbourne huffed. “Retire from what?” he said. “It’s not a job...." 🖤

Man. I don't normally get teary for celebrity deaths, but Ozzy passing hit me HARD. He was such a huge influence my entire life. His music was the best, both in Sabbath & solo. Thankfully, he got to do his final show & thank his fans for all the years of great music. I thank YOU, Ozzy. RIP

If you ever go to Rob Lowe’s house, under no circumstances should you steal and drink his ginger ale. When he finds out, he will be *very* mad at you and yell a lot. And he *will* find out. I know. It happened to me. Also, I sometimes have very strange dreams.

I don't condone his actions, but I agree with the sentiment.

I need some suggestions for books/stories with demonic antagonists. I've been rereading some classics; I just read "The Devil and Daniel Webster", "The Devil and Tom Walker", and am contemplating "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (love me some gothic novels). Anything non-Faustian would be appreciated!

“Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream” is so good. King really knows how to weave a tale. If this short story doesn’t get made into a movie, it would be as big of an injustice as accusing a man of murder simply because he had a dream about it. I might not be the first to call it, but I bet (hope) it happens!

Had a conversation with my son about music from "back in my day" and told him I had some old band posters squirreled away in the attic. Super bummed to find out that they're gone! All that's left is a Matrix and a Princess Mononoke movie poster (neither from "my day") and the rest are in the ether.

Need to finish up a couple of books so I can make room for “You Like It Darker” coming next week.

Why do I need to sell a bunch of copies of my next book? Because for the one I’m writing now, I wanna pay James Hutton, one of my favorite artists, to illustrate a vision I had. I want it to be the first thing readers see when they open the book.

Well, no I feel horrible. I found a kickstarter for a cool anthology book and hyped it here. I didn't know many of the people involved, a few of the authors, so I had no idea what the deal was. Now I feel like I backed a good thing by a horrible person. (con't)

Had a weird post-apocalypse dream last night. Weirdest part was I woke up 3-4 times for various reasons and the dream kept picking up where I left off.

Watching “Unbelievable with Dan Aykroyd” and have a sudden urge to write a story about Egyptian mystery adventures. Also, the glow worms of New Zealand sound like an interesting story. Plus the guy basically challenged me to write a story about it.

I need a story as good as The Body/Stand By Me. A coming of age story about kids that's for adults. @stephenking.bsky.social
