I’m not sure we should be asking where ANY black woman is right now, given how the only time Democrats win a presidential election is when enough black women vote to offset the white majority that has voted Republican in EVERY election since LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act.

There is so much rationalization of harm going on right now. Radical evangelicals see it as necessary for the Rapture, longtermists see it as necessary for some future space dream. Or at least that’s what they tell themselves.

I love this analogy. And I’d like to extend it to our past election, with us as the kid who was so mad at our neglectful mom that we told the judge during the custody hearing we’d rather live with that dad, and we’re just now remembering that he gets physical.
