Millions of people probably share this question of mine - when you achieve a certain level of acting success, does the process for jobs shift more towards roles curated for you, or are you subject to the same audition/rejection dynamic you were when first starting out?

It’s not about predatory behaviour, and certainly not a judgement on gender identity or expression. Where I get tripped up is my child being exposed to something confusing on a schedule that is not my own, and the implications of that. A parallel would be progressive teachers overstepping.

I’m sure the guy is loathsome - all signs indicate that - but we’d be remiss not to factor in how toxic parents can be. The old adage “hurt people hurt people” also comes to mind.

Every element of your response resonates with me. It’s valid and sometimes at times necessary to move on, yes - I just don’t know that it should be a default approach, or celebrated - because it’s void of forward momentum on a larger-than-us scale.
