This book is proof that I'll read and thoroughly enjoy anything John Green writes. I read this entire book in one setting and can confidently say I'll be recommending it to anyone who'll listen. Until reading, I truly had no idea how prevalent tuberculosis still is in today's day and age.

I decided to take a break from non-fiction and picked this up. To be honest, I had to fight with myself to finish this one. My biggest qualm with this book is that it advertises itself as 'The Iliad from a woman's perspective' but all they do is talk about/observe men.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy this book as much as I was hoping I would. It almost seemed like she was writing about someone else other than herself. Regardless it was still an incredibly inspiring insight on the former first lady's life.

A heartbreaking/infuriating breakdown of a crucial turning point in Chicago's history. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer.

This book perfectly illustrates the link between the FBI and white christian nationalism. I'd highly recommend anyone who's interested in niche American history to give it a read.

I enjoyed reading this more than I thought I would. I finished reading this in one sitting. You'd be surprised by how interesting reading about ancient Japanese war tactics is.

I took a break from non-fiction to give George Orwell's '1984' a read. Although it was a bit convoluted and preachy, I enjoyed reading this book. It's a bit hard to get through at times. But if you haven't read it yet, I recommend giving it a chance.

I devoured this book, I highly recommend anyone deconstructing from Christianity to read this book. It's an incredibly informative and easy to digest breakdown of the rise of "conservative values."

Books I've read this month! My goal this year is, to not only read more in general, but to specifically read more non-fiction.
