it’s a super interesting approach to ending a beloved franchise, and i think it’s less than spectacular in its execution of it lol, but that’s pretty par for the course for DR

also i think arin is just fundamentally misunderstanding what this game is trying to say but whatever

in general i think this is the worst of the 3, but. i respect the idea behind this storyline

i also can’t say i LOVE the DRV3 ending but i get the point of it and arin simply doesn’t lol

this is the only life this version of these people KNOW. they’re going to fight for THAT LIFE, because it’s the life they HAVE. it’s the same shit people are all pissed at mark/jelly about. this is the life they know. this is all they HAVE

i haven’t mentioned this in a while but the grumps are finishing DRV3 and i love arin but man, his issues with this ending remind me of the shit people say about the ending of severance that pisses me off. the “it doesn’t matter, you’re not real so flip a coin and sacrifice yourself” like…
