I have to wonder if others are like me. A little to the introvert side and growing up insecure because of middle school bullying decades ago. It's so strange now, at age 61. Women I barely know hug me several times a week. Can anyone shed light on this?

I believe we are all deserving of respect. I've never understood feeling like someone is less worthy because of their skin color or who they love, for example.
But I find myself feeling reluctant to spend time around friends who are more conservative.

I love that our local weather forecast this morning had two advisories. For today, an elevated risk of fires because it's so dry. For tomorrow, lots of ice and snow. March sure likes to keep things interesting!

That Native Americans are less than fully human seems to be the the toughest prejudice of all. Of course, that's how all the land grabs in the westward expansion were justified. Classifying an entire group of people as nothing more than ignorant savages makes it easier to take away their rights.

It's too cold at -12°F this morning to take the dogs for a walk. So, they get to hang with the cat, soaking up sunshine on the couch.

Out for a walk on a foggy January afternoon with my old dog Dexter. It's about 35 degrees today. Nice weather yet tomorrow and then back to normal Minnesota winter.
