This is my favorite crab. His name is Limbless, because I found him without any limbs. Luckily for him, they grew back! I fed him a few times a week by cracking open mussels and putting him on top of them for several months until he molted and got his claws and legs back. 🦀 #crab #hemigrapsus
A freshly molted crab named "Limbless" being held, with all his limbs having grown back. His legs and claws are disproportionately small for his body because they don't grow back full size right after, it will take a few molts before they are fully grown back. I'm Kai and I mostly do "CRART" (crustacean art) both paintings and digital. In my paintings I like to incorporate actual crab/lobster shells! I also like to do fun facts and bright pet portraits.
