Alan Watts translated wuwei from the characters as ‘don’t force it’ rather than ‘no action.’ That’s why translation is hard, but I like it.

Yes, nature always finds the most effective path; as humans who are part of that nature, we should mess with that minimally, or be prepared for unexpected consequences.

When I think of wuwei I am reminded of the principle of least action in physics.

I read maybe 10-12 books all the way through in a year, but the intros, TC, and conclusions of a hundred or so.
