So, the idea for a Kat re-intro: I've already introduced PC (Park Cat), the white cat that Kim & Aisha have in their care from the shelter. It was a quick mention to help establish the fact that we're in the Ranger Catastrophe part of season 3, but I've yet to mention Katherine herself.

I've already spent a decent amount of time on secondary characters from Cosmic Fury & SPD to help build out the world; said characters absolutely serving the greater A plot, so it's all purposeful. But I'm leery about exploring a rewrite of Katherine Hillard that wouldn't serve the A plot.

Currently, the fic is plotted at post-Ranger Catastrophe but pre-A Different Shade of Pink. And this is where I have a problem because of this NEW idea to rewrite Katherine’s intro into MMPR. I am GEEKED, but... this idea could steal focus for a story that is supposed to be Dex and Billy driven.

Dex being in a foreign land easily lands itself to social commentary: wars, inequality, inequities, and the like.

Then there’s the weight of the crown a teen prince may not even want. Being on Earth and away from his dying home planet is an unseen new start for a war wary young person.
