(was in the mood, did a search of my library of anything with the word "pulsar" in it and slowly working my way through... of course it pulled in some non-squiggle outliers, & started with Gal Costa's pulsars e quasars (course that's its own squeal an squall!) youtu.be/ZJC20otWMKs?...

I wish I could remember exactly what it was from. I know it was just a section of a larger film, might have been something more art history oriented than music.. definitely remember it being projected, so probably elementary school, 70s, early 80s but I think the film itself was older than that..

one of my favorite reverbs is the tunnel in the Logan Square station on Chicago's Blue Line. Friend of mine always joked about composing a piece for that station and a hundred basketballs..

this making me remember this film I saw as a kid where jazz was represented by a montage of Mondrian paintings... all primary colors on grids, but bouncing around the screen as the compositions switched.. don't remember the exact music playing as much... something bebop -ish I think

Same with Nirvana's Bleach and some early Screaming Trees.. punk/hardcore bin.. don't really remember hearing the word grunge till after smells like came out.. but then I lived in the Midwestern sticks so mileage may vary

I remember buying the tape in '89 from the punk/hardcore bin at the local Music-Go-Round chain store.. don't think there was a grunge bin at the time..

100% bought *cause the cover looked sick*

Amédée is in a Discord I frequent.. I think this is his first release under his own name.. I've got a few other things of his under various monikers & different styles, all of it containing some very deep synthesis.. can pass along some links if interested

I'm not super familiar with Bret's work.. I know I have one album of his from a few years ago, but I'd have to revisit to make a comparison...

brand new, as of sometime last week! or mostly new anyway, the title track came out on superpang a couple years back, the other three are new works using the same/similar methods as the older track...
