Also also, playing on extreme means you're locked into playing extreme with no way to change the difficulty in game.

For 12 and with the game now being complete I'd say it's well worth it. Final horizons is a worthy final challenge. That said if ya plan on completing the game on Extreme difficulty be warned that final horizons is very much going to take years off your life span and is better to play on normal.
