Like it seems to just presume not everything is cause to effect when, like, what does that even mean?

If so then maybe adjuncts are *that*, grammaticalized interrupting ourselves, due to how items enter and are flushed from short term memory (meaning like our word fetching algorithms) in a *weak* first-in, first-out kind of way (or whatever you might call popping the LQ of an array)

So maybe when we interrupt ourselves, with things suddenly taking up short term memory due to idk priming, external stimulus, racing conditions, or so on, we use the same machinery as topic/focus fronting?
