I thought it stood up well. There’s a hilarious scene where the kids are suddenly a good year older but that aside it captures Bradbury’s unique mix of nostalgia and chills. Pryce is, of course, wonderful. I would have liked to have seen Clayton’s darker cut but what’s here is still very good.

Hope you had fun. By coincidence had a lovely lunch with recently acquired friends today, though nearly 50 years ago they were both teachers at my primary. He in fact was a probationer when he taught me.
