Modular Moderation Service- this solves the age-old question of moderation. In this age, one man's fact is another's misinformation. Being able to choose a source for classifying content has a lot of potential. Maybe one day I could have @washingtonpost.com label content for me

Feeds- I think there is big potential here for essentially custom algorithms. Giving the users more choices regarding what they want to see. I want to be able to choose to see takes I disagree with or choose self-affirming content in the same way I choose where I go

That said, I do think it's great to experience ideas and people who are different from you. I like that Bluesky seems to strike the right balance

I'm convinced that the folks at X who say that social media should be like a town square are elites who have never been to a town square before!
No one wants to hang out in the town square. We hang out in 'moderated' space like bars, workplaces, and homes
