I discovered comics in the mid 80s, late Bronze age. Local corner store had a spinner rack. There was a series called Marvel Saga, digested collections of silver age Marvel stories. Seemed incredible to me.

I like country, probably less specifically: 'Americana'. John Prine, Lucinda, Emmylou, Jason Isbell

I always thought country and hip hop are aligned. Hyper localised references, name dropping and lineage acknowledgement, disses, food, drink and gun culture. Both rooted in working class culture too.
