YES. probably on the small side, but something modeled after the peugot 404 would be GREAT. That was a classy little sedan on top of a massive suspension. Built for tough travel through Africa, and it was awesome in rough potholed city streets.

Yes, some flights or purchases will fail. There will be duds. That's fine. The lessons learned from getting these platforms into the hands of the Navy, Coast Guard and others will offset the procurement costs.

I know the green-eyeshade crowd hates the idea, but the only way we get to a workable solution is to buy a whole bunch of these platforms and work them (REALLY work them) until they break. Onesies and twosies don't work.

As a USCG advocate, I have always advocated DHS Secretaries grant ICE a brand new, high-tech, you-must-wear-this-on-duty-or-be-fired uniform. Like 👇
