Loved playing this game (the Sega Genesis version, if memory serves) The dynamic for editing the terrain was so cool. Dunno if there was (or is) anything else like it.

Like apparently this is valid javascript syntax.. huh? I had no clue.. seems fun, but I don't think I've ever seen this in the wild.

the last defender to touch the ball just keeps it until the end of the inning. Bad inning? The 2nd baseman might have 8 baseballs stuffed down his jersey and 3 more in his pockets. Dropped balls are obviously an extra base. (NCAA/MLB lemme know if you need more details on this proposal)

(Correction: they do have good night vision, but only up close, they apparently can't see very far away. Science is years away from a cure, having only recently put dogs in glasses and funny hats)
