Sunshine through the clouds on a breezy day at the beach. Nice early miles with Susan, though we were glad when we headed inland out of the worst of the wind! #running

Been feeling really tired this week. Maybe a bit of post marathon blues. Glad to get out for a short run this morning, even if it was freezing!! #running

We work hard enough. We shouldn’t be afraid to celebrate. 2025 - an ultra, a half and a marathon. Done. #running #runner

One year. 3 races. A 50k plus ultra. A half. A marathon. Every one special. Every memory magical. So much of me has been poured into these. Time for a rest. #running #ukrunchat

Welcome to the collection Dublin - Marathon medal number 7 safely added to the collection. 12 medals now on the hanger. 2 ultras, one ultra trail, 2 BrewDog runs and 7 of the 26.2 mile variety. Proud of every one. #running

Definitely worse places for my first run after the Dublin Marathon - a very gentle few miles on a tourist route around Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, The Shard, and along the Thames. Legs still work, just about! #run #running

There’s something hugely satisfying about updating your bio to mark another running achievement. Dublin Marathon completed - 7th marathon overall. We need to celebrate our successes! #run #running

A great few days sightseeing in Ireland and Northern Ireland recovering from the Dublin Marathon. Lots of driving so not exactly great for my marathon legs 😂, but some fabulous places to visit.

I rarely like race photos. In the case of the Dublin Marathon, I rather like the emotion which this captures of those final few metres. #running #ukrunchat

Tired legs but a full heart on medal Monday after running the Dublin Marathon yesterday. My fastest marathon since 2021, and a great day in a great city. #running #ukrunchat

Guinness in hand and Dublin Marathon done. Tough day in cold, windy and wet conditions but delighted with my time and what an amazing support from the people of Dublin. Now let’s celebrate!! #ukrunchat #running

A day of driving, ferries, traffic jams, buses, a bit of carb loading, topped off by picking up my number. As ready as I’m going to be for the Dublin Marathon. One more rest day to go then let’s get this done. #running #ukrunchat

A calm and peaceful morning to complete my Dublin Marathon training plan. Relieved to get through those final couple of miles unscathed. Now for a few days of rest, carb loading, and getting ready for Sunday’s race. #running #ukrunchat

Three months of hard work and the final Saturday long run training for the Dublin Marathon is done. Thanks to all my friends for running with me and getting me to this point. Onwards to next Sunday. #running #dublinmarathon

A perfect autumnal day at Aberdeen beach, for a run on the sand for a change. Not a breath of wind, ideal temps. Lovely. Blessed to live here and be fit to enjoy it. #run #beach #coast #beachrun #aberdeen #runner #scotland

A morning running on Aberdeen beach without a breath of wind. I’d dream of this weather in two weeks time for the Dublin Marathon. Latest running blog now up too. craigaw1969.wordpress.com/2025/10/11/d... #marathon #running

Two months of hard work building to my biggest mileage week training for the Dublin Marathon. Taper time has arrived! Now to avoid going crazy for the next 3 weeks 🤪.

There’s something special about getting through the longest run of marathon training. Relief, mostly 😂😂. 22 miles done this morning, despite Storm Amy’s best efforts. Fell at mile 17 but thankfully just grazed my hands. Now to wind things down and get ready for Dublin Marathon in 3 weeks. #running

Marathon training is just really, really hard at times. But the run is done, another one ticked off the list. We move on to the next. #ukrunchat #running

I might be smiling but I think that’s probably just relief that it was over. Hill reps on a warm evening into the wind. Remembering that marathons are made when no one is watching. 3 and a half weeks until Dublin. #running #ukrunchat
