I'm writing in American for this next book and it's torture. Every time I type "color" or "realize" I feel a little dirty.

If I had a starter pack then you’d be in it. I don’t have one because I’ve got a book to write, and because I don’t know how to make a starter pack. And also because I can’t be arsed. But you’d be in it for sure.

I'm at Waterstones Braehead on Friday night from 6-8 along with a stellar line-up of authors all happy to chat and sign books. There's a wide range of genres and writers and it's a chance to get some Christmas presents in the bag! Ho ho ho...

All this talk of cat pics reminded me of the time Bonnie was so desperate to stop me leaving the house that she clung on to the inner door so that I couldn’t open it.
