Was just listening to New Order's 2001 single "Crystal" and was taken right out of it by
an instance of "iconic football commentary in things" at 29 seconds.

It's a common phrase, and not even the right one, but the intonation and timing is spot on.

In both Adelaide and Brisbane it was also notable that there were loads of Christmas events put on by the cities, completely free rather than sublet out to private companies.

Even at tourist attractions it was refreshing to not feel like everything was an opportunity to empty your pockets.

Obviously if a pitch is unplayable (or has a high probability of being), the conditions around the actual stadium are bad, or a team can't get there, fair enough.

But do we really want to be starting to call games off if a handful of away fans might not be able to make it?
