I’ve been working on this Lumme sweater for more than a month now which included frogging it after about 1/3 of the color work because I wasn’t happy with the colors. So so happy with it now. Tonight I learned how to do short rows. This has been such a fun and educational project.

On Saturday I went back to @leadingmenfiberart.bsky.social with my aunt and my cousin. I ordered yarn that they didn’t have on hand and they dyed it and it was delivered to me today! So speedy. And soft and beautiful 😍

Charlie was very sad yesterday because we were gone most of the day for a volleyball tournament and a trip to a yarn shop. Today he just wants to snuggle while I knit 🐶🧶💜

I found the cutest local yarn shop where they dye their own yarn! Bought some fingering weight that I cannot live without, but will definitely be back for more yarn. They have the most beautiful yarn and shipping is free when spending over $20!

This weekend I finished a quilt that I had started 6 years ago. It’s a denim and flannel quilt with a super soft fleece backing. This quilt has two layers of cotton batting in it so it is very heavy and very cozy.

Realizing that there’s a community of people here who knit, crochet, quilt, etc and I want to join! Here’s a picture of my most prized quilt. Started January 2010 and finished November 2024. Quilted by hand 🌈

Knitting, crocheting and quilting have been my lifelines since November along with reading and exercising. Gardening will pick up when weather allows 🧶
