A few Decembers ago I decided to drive across Canada in the cold, because I’m a Georgia boy and hadn’t experienced it. I drove from Sault St. Marie to Banff National Park. I made across that but the weather became more ominous, so I turned south and headed back home.

I took this photograph in Montezuma, Georgia using a 1940s Elgeet 4” lens. This is a quite peculiar old lens, very beautifully made and at its sharpest when shot wide open at f4. Hey, Bluesky, be sure that nobody sees this, ok?

So I think I’ve figured out that Instagram is where not many people see your photographs, and blue sky is where absolutely nobody sees them.
