you should watch! i personally prefer a lot of the games but its a good time and a pretty solid adaptation even if i dont love every change they've made

ok why. deconstruct them, tell me why i'm wrong. i love this game so im critical of it since i want it to be done right. they literally cut one of the most essential scenes and all you have is "l takes" lmao

changing things is not inherently bad, plus i don't want the show to be a carbon copy of the game, but these were all misses. i hope they can still make it work but these were things that should not have been changed and take away from the core story/characters.

last: the infected breaching Jackson will undermine Joel's death. The scene was cool and all but with so much destruction in Jackson the true weight of Joel's death is just not as prevalent. Joel will not be the sole victim and thus his death is just overall less impactful. What the fuck man...

second: Tommy not being with Joel can be worked around but does not hit the same in the long run. His anger and desire for vengeance on Abby really does not compare if he wasn't there to witness Joel's death especially in late game when he convinces Ellie to keep looking for Abby

first: Why were Ellie and Dina separated? Jokes aside removing the weed scene gets rid of Ellie telling Dina about her immunity AND the establishment of their actual relationship going beyond a drunk kiss at a party. Dina is also no longer the first person to comfort Ellie after Joel's death...
