Real talk. Busy is the cure for idle hands. Been struggling with the balance of staying open to original ideas that excite me and the industry mandates my reps are pushing me toward. I think the answer is to write whatever makes me want to keep writing.

Currently in the purgatory of waiting for attachment reads from directors for my pilot! It's my first time in the game as a creator, and the process of writing a pilot that producers and studio like took over a year! How'd you navigate the endless notes, hurry up wait process earlier in your career?

Like, I bought a mission impossible level face mask so no one would ever know it was me. Cost me three months rent. My mama's sick and has dementia. My family got to eat.
And I would've gotten away with it. If it wasn't for those snooping kids and the speech impediment dog.

Also a really good intentional choice! Lestat is a mystery to both Louis and the reader for about 30 min. Just his hair, then his eyes. But we meet Lestat when Louis meets him, and that scene tells us all we need to know.
