While a feature like Community Notes may seem democratic, it is easily exploitable especially by ruling elites who have the resources to co-opt this feature. This leaves Meta users even more exposed to misleading or false information.

While Zuckerberg acknowledges mistakes and weaknesses in the moderation of Meta’s platforms, he fails to mention how Meta’s algorithms have been exploited to influence the political leanings of certain groups of people, directly impacting elections in several countries, including the Philippines.
