Hello @hampshirekarin.bsky.social , we support renewable energy, but in the right place. Walshaw Moor is of national and international importance (SSSI, SPC, SPA) - a large source of deep peat and important for threatened birds. Our article has more info on this.

Our view is that brownfield first must be the development priority. IF greenbelt land is needed (and sometimes it is), then it must be sustainable and deliverable. Sadly, a point ignored in far too many developments across West Yorkshire
