IG gets full color, but Bluesky gets uncensored. Who is the real winner?

I am slowly getting back into working with models again after over a year of virtually no shoots. Here's an image from last week working with Lexi Mode.

BlueSky is seeing it before Instagram does, and you all get the uncensored version!

By request, here are a few more from my shoot with Jessi from a few years back. She's retired from the modeling game and moved on to the career for she had been modeling to pay for schooling.

Amy, from 2022

I've posted her before, and as I said then, I think she's retired from modeling now. I see her pop up on social media now and again, but no new pro shots in years.

Jinx Spectere from back in 2021

I loved the overall classical statue nature of this, but my favorite detail is the shadow on her face caused by her hair that took on the red coloring of the accent light.

I haven't worked with a model in six months, and haven't picked up a camera in four. But a sugar skull themed shoot was something that I've wanted to do for years so I came out of hiatus just for this opportunity.

I've known Lumen since her very first days as a model. We worked together tangently, but the one time we were going to shoot 1:1, I caught covid. Months later, this opportunity came up and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The second model from the 2022 beach shoot I posted yesterday. This is Jenn Marie, a kind of off and on model who fits it into her schedule where she can.

Another one from 2022.

My camera club does an annual beach shoot to close out summer. This was the first one I attended, and we got a misty, overcast day. But the images were spectacular with both models giving it their all.

This is Amanda absolutely torturing her eyes for me.

Desperately hoping my model, Vestalina Lotus, doesn't set my friends octa on fire 🤣

Eva from 2022.

I think she's changed her modeling name since we worked together. She may go by Honey now, I'm not 100% sure.

Truth be told, if I were to do this today, I would approach both the shot and the processing differently, but I still like where this landed.

Here's a REAL rarity from my archives! Predating my attempt to become a photographer of models by more than two years, I attended a camera demo/tryout hosted by Olympus. They had a couple models and lighting set up to test things out, and I knew NOTHING about shooting people or that environment.

From 2022. This is still one of my favorite poses, though I haven't shot another version of it in quite a while. Suggestive without being graphic.

Which is your favorite, color or b&w?

In an industry packed full of models who show up with suitcases of beautiful lingerie and dresses, the fastest way to this photographer's heart is to whisper to me in passing, "I have a skeleton onesie with me," which is exactly how this happened.

From waaaay back in 2021. I was still figuring things out (heck, I still am) but already showing a tendency towards the type of work I admire.

I hadn't heard of Jamie before shooting with her, but she came ready to rock with all kinds of unique, fun, and experimental poses. From 2023.

I've been going through a really tough time of it lately and it hasn't been in me to post at all. Even this feels a bit hollow, but let it serve as proof of life.

From just over three years ago. I'll probably share more from this one over time. As long as you learn at least one new thing on a shoot, that knowledge is priceless. For instance, I learned that nipple piercings can and will get stuck between open floorboards.

This opportunity just fell into my lap. The artist reached out to me on a visit to Boston wanting to shoot, but we couldn't make it work. As luck would have it, I was traveling to her area just a few months later and a few accidentally triggered fire alarms later...
